The Need:
We believe our government should be a reflective democracy. However, Texas is a battle ground state, notorious for unjust voter suppression and gerrymandering tactics. Thankfully, grassroots nonprofits are out here reminding us of our civic right to vote and providing the necessary tools to be informed, engaged, and empowered. We are entrusted to uplift their message and provide collegiate students the space to navigate their evolving sociopolitical identities.
We know our worth.

Our collaborative intention
Despite the urban sprawl that Texas is plagued with, we understand the deep and expansive pride for our state still brings us together. We wanted to highlight Houston in Action’s coalition –giving each organization an opportunity to shine and speak directly to their communities; and aid Pilipino American Unity for Progress, Inc (UniPro) Texas chapter’s mission toward collegiate outreach and meaningful discussion.

A cohesive message across all Houston in Action’s ten coalition partners with an online combined presence of 45k followers.
Tabling, screenings, and highly interactive discussions at three universities, reaching over 200 student participants.
